60Mn high-quality carbon structural steel has slightly higher strength, hardness, elasticity and hardenability, good machinability in the annealed state, and poor cold deformation plasticity and weldability. It is sensitive to overheating and tends to be brittle to tempering. Suitable for large-size spiral springs, leaf springs, various round flat springs, spring rings, cold drawn steel wires and springs.
